R V capture updating

On my applian Director, I am running R V capture 5.4.2 but it say there's a update to 6.06.1
if I update how do I know if there is a COST TO UPDATE TO THE NEWER VERSION
and if there is a cost, can I go back to the older version

Or should I assume that if the first number jumps from 5 to 6 that there is a cost
