    Default Something Odd

I was using Converter 3 to burn a collection of short films into one long-playing disc. First attempt, one of the pieces that was "widescreen" burned as full screen. Some research showed this was a known issue and was corrected in Converter 4. After updating, not only had the same issue, but unless the PC is online, Internet Explorer opens too many windows to count.

My first fear was I'd been infected, and this machine was due for wipe and re-load anyway, so I did it today. Exact same issue with both wide/full screen and IE *exploding* windows on the desktop. Update was downloaded from Applian website.

    Any ideas? Advice?
