Exclamation The Protection from Adobe Flash 10 - TIP

    Hey,

I have read from problems with some sites (CBS, etc.).
Please check your version frome the Adobe Flash-Player.
The Adobe-Flash-Player 10 protects or disable the Programm "Replay Media Catcher".
    1. Check the site "http://www.cbs.com/" with the "Adobe-Flash-Player 10" with Firefox (Disabled with RMC) !!!

    2. Uninstall "Adobe-Flash-Player 10"

    3. Install the "Adobe-Flash-Player 9"
You can found it at the Adobe-Site here:
    http://anonym.to/?http://fpdownload....p9_archive.zip (99 MB)
In the folder "9r124" you found the files "flashplayer9r124_winax.exe" (Internet Explorer) & "flashplayer9r124_win.exe" (Firefox).

    4. 1. Check the site "http://www.cbs.com/" with the "Adobe-Flash-Player 9" with Firefox (Enabled with RMC) !!!

    Bye

It's worthwhile mentioning Flash version 9.0.124.0 recommended in this thread is vulnerable to a security flaw that allows a remote attacker to take control of an affected system. A fixed version Flash Player 9, version 9.0.151.0, is available.
To check which vesion of Flash is installed visit Adobe.

    Default Fix works!

Had the same problem. Downgraded to Flash 9, and all is well. Thanks.

I am using Flash v10.0.12.36 (the latest) and quite happily capturing flash audio mp3 streams from a radio web site under Vista SP1 using Replay Media Capture v3.01.

I don't think the problems users are suffering from is therefore due to Adobe having secured against Replay Media Catcher.

Default Are Some Sites Blocking Adobe Flash 9?

Are Some Sites Blocking Adobe Flash 9?

I tried back-pedaling like all of you from Adobe Flash 10 to 9--in my case to use RMC at an adult site I frequent & it worked again.

Alas today I got messages "This site uses Adobe Flash...upgrade to version 10 here."

I got this message in both Firefox 3 & IE7. But what do you know I got Maxthon to work with Flash 9! (Sometimes w Maxthon though it only loads the lo res version & I have to stop & reload everything again).

So some sites may really be trying to force us to use v 10 (which may have the ability to detect & block RMC).

The CBS site seems to be streaming in RTMPE. That seems to be a problem for RMC in flash 10 but not Flash 9. The "ad blocker in browser" message seems to be a problem with specific sites that you may have in your restricted area or in your hosts file (if you use the MVSP hosts block lists). With Flash 9 RMC seems to be able to spoof the CBS flash server and bring it in even though it is RTMPE (encrypted), There is actually a lengthy thread on the adobe forum about what is needed to make RTMPE really work to specifically block RMC.

The specific sites to unblock are 2o7.net ("oh" not "zero"), pointroll.com, and doubleclick.com
