    Default Media Catcher Error

    I tried downloading The Karate Kid (http://www.hulu.com/watch/29986/the-karate-kid) from Hulu and received the following error:

    Internal error while trying to download RTMP stream
    Exception:
    m_nErrType = 11
    m_strDesc = "code: NetConnection.Connect.Rejected
    description: [ AccessManager.Reject ] : Must use RTMPE or RTMPTE on this connection"
    m_strFile = F:\proj32\TestRTMPClient\RTMPStreamRip.cpp
    m_nLineNumber = 787

    It seems that certain movies on hulu will download fine and others will not. Any explanation of why and/or how to resolve this problem would be helpful.

    Thanks in advance.

    RMC does not capture/download any movie streams...
    It doesnt work for me either, Jeff,
    I have the latest version of RMC 3.01 and, hulu.com will only play the movie IF
    Flash Player 10 is installed! So, if the stream does not play, you can't capture it....Flash Player autoupdates its self...I have version 10 of Flash Player and, I didn't even know *Shrugs* Adobe has done there homework on Replay Products So, an update for RMC is highly necessary!

    One constant at Hulu appears to be that most if not all Sony releases use the newer type of (RTMPE or RTMPTE) stream. This may be the part of a deal cut with Hulu.

    I understand a desire to protect content. But for goodness sakes, the same quality shows from the 480i era fly over my head several times a day without any barrier to copying whatsoever, e.g., broadcast TV episodes of Married With Children. I can use a bent coat hanger for an aerial and DVD recorder to make discs and go nuts importing (unencrpyted) DVD's to the PC.

    I'm using Flash Player v10.0.12.36 with Replay Media Catcher v3.01 Sep 12 2008 and have no trouble recording today, for time-shifted viewing later, the movies Head Over Heels and Nobody's Fool. Nobody's Fool requires an account as it is Rated R.

    Those are URL's to the "Hi-res" 720x400 versions if that makes a difference.

    Hulu has changed the stream of select videos. The developer has been looking into this.

    Media Catcher updated itself and I can now get those movies, though only through firefox...still doesn't recognize them when I'm using IE7.

    The developer was able to get a fix in place quite quickly What operating system are you using? If Vista try this:
    Close IE
    Open Media Catcher
    Click "start recording"
    In the upper left corner, click "record", then choose launch default browser.
