Default 30 minute recording trimmed to just seconds after hitting stop.

I'm trying to transcribe some voice conversations that are on micro cassettes. They record just fine, but when I hit stop, most of the 30 minute recording disappears (I can see the file in Windows XP Explorer just fine) down to just a couple seconds.

I had to do this a year ago, and found that it was being caused by one setting in Replay Music, but now I can't remember what was the cause of the problem. I have all naming and splitting turned off, and it's still happening.

    Any ideas?

A suggestion is to record using WAV. Do a fresh boot of your computer prior to doing the recording.
