Default Program won't start, and I just paid for it.

I bought the program, dl'd it, and then when I double click on the desktop icon I get an error message:

Big red X and: The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0150002). Click OK to terminate the application.

When I click ok, and choose the down arrow to "show problem details", it says:
    Problem signature:

Gosh I'm sorry - Windows Vista

I've tried uninstalling, rebooting, re-downloading/installing, rebooting - nothing works, it always gives me that error message.
