Default Message after conversion: AVI file not prepared for sequential reading

Full message when attempting to play converted from MPEG 2 to AVI file in MS Windows Media Player. "This AVI file was not prepared for sequential reading. The alternative 'Avi Splitter' will now let the default one handle it. The complete reinterleaving of this file is stronlgly recommended before burning it onto a slow media like cd-rom".
The file will not play correctly. Audio and video are not synced.
Anyone know what this means and how to fix it?

Where did you get the original file? What version of Replay Converter are you using? What version of Windows are you using?

I get the same message. I downloaded a video, converted it to avi using 1.10.1106.26 . I purchased the suite. The video was 10.9 gb, over 7 hours and won't fit onto a dual layer dvd.
    Please help!
