Applian states that its Windows products will work in a Mac via Parallels. However, I ran a full test of RVC5 and it does not work in Parallels 7 Coherent mode in Mac OS X Lion. In addition to the anchor position glitch unable to reposition the anchors to isolate the video, and inability to capture video using MPEG-2 default setting (as well as MPEG-4 and Windows Media codec), RVC5 is also unable to stay on top of the current active window even though this preference is set by default. Bottom line: For Mac OS X Lion running the latest Parallels 7 Coherent mode, RVC5 for Windows does not work in this virtual environment. Hopefully soon Applian will consider outsourcing a Mac OS X version of Applian software. If not, please forward my suggestion. I will continue to use RVC5 for my Windows PC but many customers expect a Mac OS X version. Thanks.
