    Unhappy Freecorder Toolbar dissapeared

My Freecorder Toolbar quit displaying somehow. I'm using XP Pro and IE8 lists the toolbar in its list but when I enable the toolbar is gone. I've reintalled FCTBSetup.exe, applianflv.exeand IE itself but no joy.

Hi - please follow these exact steps to be safe. :-)

If you're having issues with the freecorder toolbar, please try the following for me:

Please uninstall, reboot and reinstall Freecorder from the link below:
    http://www.applian.com/freecorder4/download.php (NON US Customers)
    http://www.applian.com/freecorder5/ (USA Based customers)

Also, here is a link to properly uninstall Freecorder:
    http://www.applian.com/freecorder4/s....php#uninstall

Please make sure that you have administrative rights and that you disable any anti virus software you are running while installing Freecorder. (This is very important)

Lastly, please make sure that Freecorder toolbar is enabled in your Firefox browser.

Let me know if this helps! :-)

    Hi Jeff

Could you please tell me why you suggest "that you disable any anti virus software you are running while installing Freecorder. (This is very important)"?

I have found a trojan - Possible_Movly-1 - in some of your software.

If I deactivate my anti virus software, I am at risk of it downloading whilst I install the software.

I have now stuggled for over 4 hours trying to get the toolbar to operate Applian Freecoder Toolbar... Absolutely no luck...

I wanted to buy the Capture suite, but it had 6 Possible_Movly-1 trojans, even after downloading it 3 times...:

I do need your software, but how safe is it?

Please let me know... I need your software urgently...

    Hope you can help

    Kindest

    Jurgen

I had used Freecoder in the past 4 years - no hassles. I removed it due to trojan virus infection - probably about 2 months ago - when I was prompted to update...

    Hi Jurgen

On some systems, once you install Freecorder , you may see a warning that Spyware has been loaded onto your PC. You can safely ignore this warning. Freecorder needs to monitor the network traffic to your PC to record -- this is similar to what some Spyware programs do, and Windows may not be able to tell them apart.

    Freecorder does not:

    * Capture anything other than video or audio streams.
    * Send or capture any personal information.

    HI Jeff,

I tried to install Freecorder using the link below you provided as well as the official link from Applian website:

    http://www.applian.com/freecorder4/download.php (for NON US customer)

At Freecorder setup stage, while installing Auto-complete wizard, I get the message below:

    HandleBrowser.exe - Application Error

The application failed to initiate properly (0xc0000135). Click OK to terminate the application.

No toolbar is installed in either Firefox or IE.

    I am using Firefox 10.0.2 & IE 8.

    Please help!

    Regards
