Freecorder Toolbar 5 Does Not Record

I click on the "Audio Record" button and the usual recording window shows up. I then go to the song I want to record from Youtube and try playing it. The window continues to say "Waiting for Audio..."

I have Freecorder 5, and I'm running on Windows 7 woth IE8.

It used to work on this computer before I got the new operating system.

Solutions I have already tried:
Re-installation
Restarting
Downloading an older version (made my internet crash repeatedly).
Using a different program (Quality is much worse than with Freecorder).
Refreshing the page with music / starting the audio recorder on before opening IE8.

I need this program to work for my videos, and it refuses to pick up any audio at all. It may have something to do with the input device or my speakers, but I JUST WANT IT TO WORK AGAIN.

What OS are you using?

Also, Be sure to start the audio recorder BEFORE browsing to and playing the audio that you’d like it to record.

The audio recorder needs to be started first. If you’re using Windows Vista or 7, be sure to enable the Windows Vista Audio driver in Freecorder’s audio capture settings.
