    Question How to *NOT* erase silence / silent parts

    Hi there!

    I just installed the Freecorder Toolbar and used it. It would be a really good tool but there is one problem;

    I'm using it to record lectures which are streamed from a website. Whenever the lecturer goes silent, however, it cuts the record and continues recording (in a new mp3 file) when the professor continues to talk.

    Since it's pretty normal that people go silent for a few seconds between sentences, a 45 minute lecture ends up to be recorded in like 50 files... I could "glue" the parts together with Audacity or so, but it's just too much work..

    Is there any way to deactivate the "silence-deleting"-function??

    Thanks in advance for any recommendations guys!

    Cheers,
    human

    Hi Human,

    The Freecorder Toolbar is our free audio recorder with a few bonus tools like the video history tool and converter. However, it is not a full-featured stream downloader. It works fine for many sites like YouTube, etc. But you may need a full featured stream recorder to get some of the more hard to capture sites. Please try a free demo of our Replay Media Catcher. It will most likely fit your needs.

    Check it out here please: http://applian.com/download-videos/

    I hope this helps
    Best Regards,
