REPLAY MEDIA CATHCER WON'T GRAB from ZDF.de
Hi, On the list it says that RMC will capture from ZDF.de
I have the fully registered version of RMC.
I am trying to capture
Video Das SWR3 New Pop Festival 2008
Die Sendung als Video

But it won't do it. The data captures but when I click stop and save and try to play the file it doesn't play at all.
Help?!

It works perfectly fine on the site...try selecting Windows Video stream rather then quicktime by default.Originally Posted by bamboobam

When I play it with quicktime I get nothing in the capture list whatsoever. I installed the Windows media player extension to play it in Windows media player and it appears in the capture list as an asf and continues to grow. But when the file is finished I attempt to play it and there is nothing there. The file has data but it won't play in any player (WMP,Winamp,GOM I've tried loads).
If you can capture the file please upload it to sendspace so I can try it.

OK I tried again and this was the resulting file. It won't play for me in any player. Please confirm to me that this doesn't play and if anyone can cap a playable video please let me have it. Cheers.

Okay, it appears, that you may need a Codec pack installed on your pc...try CCCP bellow:
DOWNLOAD CCCP Codec pack
If the codec pack makes no diferrence...try tweaking the RMC settings:
try the following settings: checkmark Web Stream Dumper, uncheck Capture HTTP Media Streams, and, try again. Report back to continue trouble shooting.

Matthew can you play the small file I uploaded?
I doubt whether it is codecs because (having codec probs in the past) the first thing I dd when I set up my pc was install Klite Codec pack (the largest download).
Besides I can see the video playing in the ZDF player....

Yes, I did look at file you uploaded to the site and, the file is (unplayable)
try tweaking RMC settings. try the following settings: checkmark Web Stream Dumper, uncheck Capture HTTP Media Streams, and, try again.
Klite Codec pack by the way, is somewhat inferior to CCCP. Try reinstalling your klite codec pack (as test).
Report back to continue trouble shooting.

By which I mean when I click on the video on the zdf website it plays no problem in the browser. It plays using quicktime or using windows media player option. Using quicktime there is no large file that appears in the RMC list but using WMP the files appear and download fine but simply won't play (just like that file I uploaded to show you - they have data but don't play)
I have the ZDF player set to super dooper broadband but i also tried it on other broadband and dialup settings which stream smaller videos.
I am currently on the largest video stream (for super dooper broadband) via WMP and, after checking all the settings as you described aswell as re-installing klite to make sure, I am currently capturing several streams in WMC. They are all trickling so I'll report back much later when they have all finished (I'll let it complete the entire file just in case it does work).

OK! It worked! So thanks Matthew! If I hadn't have found this forum I would've presumed RMC didn't work for zdf!

Can anyone cap these vids with RMC because I am getting an asf in the list but only 505k size and there is nothing there.

Replay Media catcher, captures video streams from that site perfectly fine
