Default HDI make Replay Converter use more CPU cycles?

I got an Intel 8-core CPU with 16GB ram. Cranking the RC CPU priority up to Real Time does not get a commensurate response in how long it takes RC to convert a file from say, .mkv to .avi. There were no other processes/apps using much CPU time. RC was not even showing a 1% CPU usage.

How can I get RC to use more CPU cycles so it converts the files faster?

I'm have the opposite effect from RC that wheels4me is having. I've got 12 cores running and RC max's out the 4th core to almost 100% while the all of the other cores are sitting at near idle. Doesn't RC and other Applian software take advantage of multicore processing? Win 7 Pro, with i7 intel, 16 gig ram

The program does not support as many cores as you have, I'm afraid. Surprised you found such an old comment to respond on.
