    Exclamation 3.99GB File Size Limit?

Hello! I've been trying to save a large paid content HD rtmp stream, but for some reason the download always stops at 3.99GB (4,187,091 KB shown in RMC, 4,185,639 KB in Windows Explorer). I've tried using 4.2.8, 4.2.1 and 3.11, but they all have the same problem. Is there any way around this? Is it a bug that can be fixed, or a limitation that cannot? Thanks!

Can you store other 4GB+ files on the same disk? What file system does it have?

Yes, I can. NTFS on both of my HDDs, and Windows 7 Ultimate x64. I've also tried a different, but similar program to get this file and it also stopped at 3.99GB. I've used regular downloading through my browser on large files that allowed it, and had no trouble saving those. I was able to use record mode to save the rest of the file, but there are several instances of video corruption.

This was the same A few of us were having a while back there was a rather long thread a few months ago if I am not mistaken. They never did message me back on my ticket that they found any fix for it. I havent had the opportunity to download a large file since the latest update, or even read through the change log just yet. Are you using the latest update?

There was probably a different problem with large files that was fixed in 4.2.8

Since you have problem with paid content, I can recommend to submit a support ticket and include your login and password. If you know any free sources with 4GB+ video streams, please post them here.

I had a problem downloading large files from operas. They quit at around 2.1 G. That was with the 4.??? version. Then there was a "fix" which reduced the quality of the video. With that, the download was complete, but the screen size was half, thereby still limiting the total file size to about 2.1G.

When I went back to ver 3.11, everything was ok.

This was back in March April 2011. I don't know if there has been another "upgrade".

Both RMC 3.11 and RMC 4 detect the stream that you watch and then download/capture it.

RMC 4.2.8 was released on June 16, 2011.

The number of RMC 4 can be found by clicking Help -> About.
