Stream won't play with RMC running

Hi guys, trying to capture an audio stream from Absolute Radio and having trouble with the whole media player, here is one example:

If I just go to the page and click play it loads and plays no problem. However as soon as I open RMC and start it running then refresh the page the media won't play, it just stops at buffering and therefore won't capture the stream since it doesn't play. How are they doing this, using some sort of script to detect a program like RMC?

I know the only other solution is to record the audio loop from my soundcard but I'd like to capture it directly preferablly, any ideas what they're doing?

This is an RTMP stream. May be the web-site doesn't allow 2 simultaneous connections. But you don't really need them.

There are 2 solutions:

1. Start download with RMC 4, then right click on the recording and select "Play". This allows to play the file being downloaded.

2. Alternatively Play the stream in your browser and record from your browser instead of downloading. Go to Tools -> Settings -> RTMP Download Tweaks and set to always record RTMP streams instead of downloading. RMC 4 will be recording as long as you keep your browser playing the stream.

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately I still use RMC 3.11B, I've not upgraded to RMC4 as I've heard it has a few problems 3 doesn't. So is there any solution with 3?
