    Default Stickam member chat when using Replay Media Catcher 3.x

    I can record in Stickam when the room is public but when it goes member only I cannot record. Am I doing something wrong?

    Hey Eman

    Are you one of the members only persons that's able to view it, or are you a guest and locked out at that time?

    I am able to view it. RMC starts to record but then stops with 0 bytes after a few seconds.

    What kind of error exactly do you get? Is it about problem downloading secure RTMPE stream?

    Below is the error I receive:

    Internal error while trying to download RTMP stream
    Exception:
    m_nErrType = 11
    m_strDesc = "code: NetConnection.Connect.Rejected
    description: Connection failed."
    m_strFile = F:\proj32\TestRTMPClient\RTMPStreamRip.cpp
    m_nLineNumber = 969

    It looks to me like they're rejecting the stream from being recorded by RMC. Unfortunately, I don't know a work around for this. I've tried to record other private chats before, even when I had access - and had the same issue.

    Perhaps Shellie or Stream-Recorder will chime in with a solution - but I know of none, unfortunately

    Try to use RMC 4.1.6 in the RTMP recording mode. Unlike RMC 3.11, RMC 4 allows not only to download RTMP streams, but to capture RTMP packets while RTMP streams are being watched.

    I tried the latest version (RMC 4.1.6 in the RTMP recording mode). I checked the option for recording live in the RTMP section of settings. It does not time out as fast as with version 3.11 or 4.0 but it does not record either.

    If it doesn't work with member chats, you may record from screen with Replay Video Capture.
