When using video capture, it works great! However, when recording if I happen to cough or the dog barks, it gets picked up on the sound track and I can hear it during playback.
How can I fix this? Using a Sony Vaio

Just mute your mic.
Easier said than done..... Any clue how to mute in Windows 7?
It was easy on XP
Right click on the Sound icon in the system tray and select something like Recording devices. You should see all your mics, line-in,... Right click on any of these items and select Disable to disable it.
If you want to record whats on your PC - you can also change it to record from your sound card, as opposed to the mic. Go into settings/audio settings and check out the other audio options
