Default Applian and Apple: Replay Media Catcher on a Mac

I really wished applain did a mac version. I have replay media catcher but it only works for pc.
anybody knows how to make it work perfectly on a mac without having to install windows on my mac.

    Hey Jacobson

We MIGHT have a solution for this in the near future, however I don't know if i'm allowed to say more than that - so I'll end the sentence here.

So hang tight in the meantime and we appreciate the mac/apple fans who are wanting to see an applian mac recording solution.

Regarding the other portion of your question, the current version is not made to run on any MAC os - so your best bet (for now) would be windows still.

    Thanks!

You don't need Windows or Windows licence to run RMC 3.11 on your Mac. Replay Media Catcher 3.11 works on a Mac with Wine:

    Hi Applian
I'm a big fan of the Media replay software. But have moved to MAC. Any update on whether there is a MAC version coming.
I'm looking at jumping ship But don't want to!!!

Default Run RMC on Mac OSx using Parallels and Windows (tested)

    Posted: 05/02/2013 13:40 p.m. EST

Problem: Running Windows version of Replay Media Catcher under MacOSx operating system.
Solution: Run Replay Media Catcher (for windows) inside Windows ran inside Mac OSx's Parallels environment.

So you can run Replay Media Catcher inside a Mac OSx Parallels window running Windows (tested for referenced version below).

Basically you need to purchase windows 7 (Home Premium x64 is the version I used) or use the old copy from your older PC.
Install it under Parallels v8x (is the version I used)
    Then you can start Parallels/Windows
Locate your Media file(s) via Internet Explorer v10 (is the version used in this test)
Initialized Replay Media Catcher v4x (is the version used in this test)
    Begin recording.
Make sure the specific media file is recognized by RMC

Then you can minimize the Parallels/Windows instance and go about your Mac OSx activity.

This arrangement was tested (04/2013) and appeared to work.

    Pros:
    1. Can accomplish the intended task of using RMC under Mac OSx (v10.8.3 is the test version used)
    2. Minimize, and continue with Mac OSx activity while RMC (under Parallels continues in background)
    3. No need to put off media capture needs while Applian and Apple negotiate their issues.

    Cons:
    1. Need Parrallels v8x (version tested)
    2. Need Windows v7 Home Premium x64 (version Tested)
    3. Need 20 GB free space on Harddrive to accommodate the install of Windows (which resides on the same partition as your MacOSx does)
    4. Need to allocate system resources such as Memory and CPU Cores to Parallels for its use when it is working on something.

    There you go.
Image Screen Capture attached showing Windows inside Parallels windows, showing Replay Media Catcher inside all that.
