Real Video Capture does only support saving streams in Mpeg2. It would be great if it would support the more efficient Mp4 standard as well.

MP4 is a container, while MPEG-2 is a video codec. MPEG-2 video codec can be used in MP4 files.
Do you want to see MPEG-4, MPEG-4 AVC (h.264) support or just MP4?
Thanks for the correction. You are of course right.
I meant MPEG-4.
Although I wouldn't mind additional MPEG-4 AVC (h.264) support.
Replay Video Capture 5 supports codecs installed in your system, so you can create h.264 .MP4 files with it.
