Default I'm getting a file size of 2,097,152 for my video stream

I am recording the same feed I was recording with 3.11 which works as it should
I just looked at the files I recorded last night and they are all this huge size
It records via http and I did notice it says 2% complete while it was recording but is this normal for 4?
I mean a 2 second test recording just made me a 2 gig file.....what the heck is with that ?

I am recording the big brother feeds and as mention this is not happening in 3 but 4 is goofing up big time

Any quick fix so it saves to correct file size. It's like it's opening the max buffer of storage and saving it no matter what time I actually record.

I don't care to spend the hours converting to fix it. I just like recording to flv and leaving at that but I can't when it's 2 gig per file and 2 hrs or 2 seconds that's the size I get and that won't cut it.

    It's big brother via

    http://superpass.real.com/big-brother/live-feeds

You have to be a superpass user but these are not copywrited because they are using a new system for feeds this year. It's plain old http vs the rstp from the last few years that was protected.

    http://bbreal1-f.akamaihd.net/bigbro...5408f006eb87f2

but that's not going to work unless you are a superpass member.
I assume you are one of have an account but there is a 14 day free trial for Big brother too

Again. 3.11 does not do this but it also can't Play while it's streaming and I love that feature

Converting wastes time and space and quality so I hope they can fix this so it works like it does in the older player

I really want to keep 4 because of the many features that were added but am stuck back on 3.11

    Thanks

i have a quite similar problem with Replay Media Catcher

i've recorded several Live-streams via MLB.TV premium, that are with around 1800k video...
reaching this 2GB mark, recording stops and file is done, but game is NOT complete.

i got no problems using V 3.11...this one is recording till the end of the game /stream,
but V4.0.5 stops...and it's EXACTLY the same filesize as above...
but as Win7 64bit User, sometimes 3.11 crashes my network connection, while trying to start recording.
then i have to restart my computer to fix it, but that s***s.
That was one of my main reasons upgrading to V4

plz fix this 2GB-Mark problem...or tell me where to change settings to record more than 2GB in one file.

    Thanks.

Try to open a support ticket and send your logs:
    1. Start RMC 4
    2. Don't start Recording
    3. Go to Help > About and expand Support. Check Debug Mode and hit OK.
    4. Start Recording
    5. Go to the website and start watching in your browser. Wait until RMC picks up a URL and starts downloading. This should be within the first few seconds of the video/music playing.
    6. Stop Recording
    7. Go to Help > About and expand Support. Then click the "email logs to support" link.
    8. Send the logs to support

Have you seen the same problem with any free content? You can also share your login and password from these services with the developer of RMC if you like (unless someone from Applian uses these services as well).
