Record audio sticking

I put a wav file on my windows media player and clicked on "record audio" from the ask and record toolbar. The wav file was 3 minutes long...The recording was not in one piece...It recorded 10 seconds, then 23 seconds, then 1:47 seconds etc. Does anyone have a suggestion how to fix this problem?

The program is going to break where it hears a break and we are not able to do anything regarding this. Also, you might want to try Freecorder 4 as it is what we have replaced the Ask and Record toolbar with.
