Default Clarification: Video Padlock protectd video files only or any data files

In Applian Director, Video Padlock is described as follows:

"Video Padlock: Protect your files from prying eyes. Securely encrypt your videos or ANY file on your computer. Enjoy instant playback of your media files."

But isn't Video Padlock just for video files exclusively?

Can regular data files be protected as well? How?

Video Padlock can encrypt any files the same way it encrypts videos.

Note that if you encrypt all your files fully, it becomes a very good method of data protection. But if you use the fast method that is good for video playback, it may not protect your data the way you expect (many files will become unreadable anyway).

Is video padlock able to lock away folders? or whole hard drives. I tried but doesn´t seem to. Is there a way.

There is not, and that is by design as a fail safe, for lack of better words. We'd have to have you encrypt your entire HD or folder and forget the Password.

    Thank you Jeff.
Umh!! At present after encripting files, the files are hidden from prying eyes but still visible in the Video Padlock window. Would not the same apply to folders or drives?.

To help Kiwon and others (and marketing) and to dispel doubts, would it not be better to call this application "File Padlock". Maybe in the next update.

To consider for next update also a quick launch keyboard key.
