IMHO Firefox, Opera and Chrome are all better than Internet Explorer. Firefox is a good solution here.

It crashes for me even when Internet Explorer is closed and all I am using is Firefox!

    So,

If Just Internet Explorer = Crash
    If Just Firefox = Crash
    If Both = Crash

So here I am, two years later and this annoying problem still exists. I uninstalled Freecorder 4 and downloaded Freecorder 5 - absolutely no difference!
Running IE 8 on Windows XP SP3 and after about three successful recordings I get the dreaded "Windows Explorer needs to close" message. The recording window fails to appear and the computer eventually freezes. Click on 'send now' button and the computer shuts down. The Freecorder software appears to be just as useless as ever.

    Hi Tom

Our software works fine, I promise. :-)

rowser crashes are usually the result of another program clashing with Freecorder. Here is a list of things that we know can cause this problem:

    Ad-Muncher
    LiveMesh
    CounterSpy
    SpySweeper
    ZoneAlarm
    CA Anti-Spyware Utility
    Comodo
    Vista Transformation Pack
    Net Nanny
    Threatfire
    Trusteer Rappoirt
    PCTools
    Avast

If you have any of these or a similar app running on your computer, try shutting them down while Freecorder is running. If it is not one of the known apps this can be difficult to pinpoint.
Another suggestion is to look for FLVsrvc.exe as a process in the windows Task Manager. If you find it, end that process.
    Best Regards,
