Default What format do I convert to in order to play on DVD players attached to TV?

If I can figure out how to unprotect the itunes movie I just bought, I would like to convert it and burn to DVD-R in order that I can play it on a regular old DVD player. But I have no idea what format to convert it to?

Simple answers/instructions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Our program will not convert a file purchased from iTunes due to copyright issues. Thanks.

Our converter uses MPEG 2 NTSC or PAL (depending on where you are) for most DVD Players.

yeah. I'm sorry this has to be the case for movies bought from iTunes. Apple puts strict copyright and protection on them.
