When you work with the latest version of Replay Music you need to make sure that the entire song is recorded or it will not recognize the song for you. If you have not been doing that please give that a try and see if it makes a difference. The developer is aware that some people are having this issue as well. It is difficult to trouble shoot when we are not able to duplicate the problem.

I know how to use the software! The entire song was recorded. In fact, the entire album was recorded. It just didn't tag. Not one single track was recognized on a "Heart's Greatest Hits" album. That is a mainstream title. There is clearly a quirk with the 3.4 version of the software being experienced by some people. A return to 3.35 worked for me.....

    Default me too

I'm having this problem as well. The version is Replay Music Version 3.40 08-07-2008. The OS is Vista 32-bit with high-priority updates installed. Recording a couple of popular tunes with iTunes as a source results in no tags; I was previously recording from rhapsody radio and getting no tags.

    Here's my ReplayMusicLog.log:

The log file you have shown is for February and an older version of Music. Please don't send log files through this system. Hmm, good point.

Does 3.4 not write a log file?

    Default no-tagging problem fixed

I was able to fix this by replacing the restrictive acl on C:\Program Files\Replay Music 3 with a permissive one -- the restrictive acl denied write access to me as a regular user. I would have installed Replay Music 3.0 on Vista sp0, and I think the restrictive acl would have been the default in that setup, not sure. I don't recall changing it, and I can't think of a reason why I would have. I upgraded to 3.4 without uninstalling.

    Default ps> replay music versions

I should say I'm not confident about the RM 3.0 part -- I can't remember what versions of things I've installed.

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. Please make sure that you were running version 3.40. If you were running 3.40, please submit a 3.40 log file to the support department. I just want to see if indeed there was a write access error when Replay Music was trying to recognize tracks.

    Best regards,

Default 3.4 version not naming tracks

I also am having problems with the naming of tracks. I remember a few years back when Roxio tried to save a few bucks by not using Gracenote. It was a disaster and they went back to Gracenote within a year. Please don't ruin a good product to save a few dollars.
Until you figure out what is wrong with 3.40, please display the instructions to roll back to Version 3.35.
