    Default best conversion for itunes?

I plan on keeping my recordings forever so I want them recorded in the best sound quality possible. I listen to the recordings in iTunes and on my iphone.

After recording Stern I have Replay AV convert the recording to M4B iPod Audiobook (128 kbps) and transfer it to Itunes. I was just wandering what other people covert their recording to and why?

i guess it only depends upon personal preference. just experiment and see what's best for you. i think that is the general rule.

I think it depends on devices you have. I don't have an iPod, so I record to MP3 files. I can use MP3 files on my PC, on my mobile phone, on my portable player and on my car stereo. Sometimes I can rip a CD into lossless FLAC files.
