Default Apparent problems with UNC Path Names

Just in the hopes of saving someone else having to go through what I just did:

My system recently lost the ability to launch replay converter from Replay AV. It would show Converter as having crashed. It turns out the problem is that my RAV destination folder is on a network-attached storage device and at some point I specified its UNC Path Name "\\LS-QL951\share\Music\Radio" rather than as a mapped drive aka "L:\Music\Radio".

The path name dialog for the destination folder happily lets you select a newtork location, but when Converter is run by RAV it apparently first checks the size of the source file, which erroneously comes back as less than 50K (according to the log file) and Converter's reaction is to croak.

Hopefully this bug will be fixed soon, but in the meantime if you are working with network storage locations and things don't seem to work, you might try mapping them as drive letters.

Default FALSE SOLUTION Re: Apparent problems with UNC Path Names

This turns out not to be true. Even when I change to a mapped drive letter destination the problem still occurs. My apologies for the amateur diagnosis. I have submitted a tech support ticket.

Did you figure this out? I also believe that with the latest upgrade I am having trouble saving to a network drive.
