How to transfer songs, videos, photos and playlist from iPod/iPhone/iTouch to PC?

I know you can copy the mp4's but I think it's easier working with mp3's so I record them with Freecorder and then use them on the PC. If your iPod touch is the issue then help is probably found elsewhere especially if the PC failed and you're trying to take media from the iPod back to a computer. Don't give up!
