Exclamation Replay Video Capture Loses Frame Rate for WMV

After recording several minutes of a streaming broadcast in the WMV format, Replay Video Capture stops enforcing my selected frame rate of 15 fps, and drops to 1 frame every 5 seconds. This occurs on multiple computers, and with various video streams. The audio portion of the captured file has no problems. For what it's worth, capturing to the AVI format does not produce the issue with reduced frame-rates.

This happens when your computer is not powerful enough to record the video. You can record to MPEG-2 instead. You can also try to keep the window to be recorded at one quarter or less of the desktop. Closing all other applications, disabling your antivirus temporarily and defragmenting your HDD can also help.

Is the antivirus part of your last suggestion mainly about trying to free up system resources, or is there some specific conflict regarding antivirus software?

    Thanks,
