Markers - can they be re-sized?

Is there a way to adjust the size of the markers-so I can customize what I want to record?

took a bit- but I think the guide meant "Get Window"
Eventually I noticed a small box near the upper left and lower right of the green marker.
Yes I can change the size, but not so easy to move the marker up & down.

You should be able to click and hold with your left mouse button and drag the box to where you want it to go.
