    Default Cannot burn recorded files to dvd, get codec error

    As I am very thick this probaly a stupid question. I record OK but if I burn to DVD when I play it on my DVD player it says "WRONG CODEC"! How do I over come this, please? Any suggestions in words of 1 (or less) sylables

    convert it to divx and then burn it on dvd.
