No Sound, great video

I cannot get my sound to work. I am using VM Capture to record a music video. The video works great, I can hear the sound while recording, then
when I play it back there is no sound.
I ran the audio test and it passed with no problems and I could hear the test
sounds.
I would appreciate any help you can give. I have a Dynex 5.1 pci sound card
installed.

I finally figured out my problem

I had to change two settings on my sound card.
Record Select was set to Line In so I changed it to Stereo Mixer
and I unchecked Remove Recording noise. It removed all the noise alright
