Recording just a 'file'. Need help converting.

Sorry for posting twice in the same day, but I have a problem. I've recorded six files from a website but they're just coming out as... well... files in the My Recording's folder. I've tried changing the extension to .flv and .mp4 etc but it doesn't work. I've also tried converting them but no luck with that either. Has anyone had this problem before? Anyone know how to fix it? Please and thank you!

These files are being streamed zipped. You need to rename them to .gz open them with 7zip, extract the file, then rename the extracted file to .flv. Once I did this I was able to play them without any issues. The extra steps are a bummer but it's easy enough and allows you to view the videos.
