I have the paid version of Freecorder 2.3. On my old computer, I got "most C-media Sounds can't be recorded" but I was able to get low volume recordings I could crank up 1000% in Soundforge. I built my new computer with a Gigabyte motherboard and now can't record any signal with Freecorder or with Window Recorder (bar graph is still). I've read the manual and there is no "output" choice for the sound card configuration, just "Realtek HD Audio Input". If I go into "Windows Recording Control" in "Control Panel", I now just have "Mute" under the various choices like mic or wav, instead of "select" which worked with "wav" on the old computer. Do I need to buy a sound card? If so, which one? My audio quality needs are very modest. Thanks.
