Default Whats the right format for Roku ?

    Ipad Air v 7.2
    Windows 7 Home Prem
    Roku 3
    Applian Replay Converter v. 4.40

I have tried various WMV, MP4 & MOV. MOV though not ipad compatible.

So what is the right format that will sync to my iPad and then be able to show up on my TV via Roku's "Play on Roku" feature?

Your iPad will use an MP4. I don't know what a Roku uses I'm afraid. You will need to experiment to see what is going to work best. Also, if the file plays in iTunes then it is a good file. It could be that it is too large for your
iPad. I have had files that won't play on mine due to the size of the file.

The MP4 file plays on the iPad and not its not a big file.
Its also not DRM (?) protected.
So something is keeping Roku from seeing the file via their App.
    I see 3 MPEG -4 versions on the Converter program : MPEG-4, MPEG-4(xvid) and MPEG-4(h264).
Its my understanding that Roku only recognizes the h264.
