Well it seems like you can no longer use RMC to record from YT. Which renders the software paid for useless and this was the main purpose. I hope they figure it out .

RMC is working fine with youtube, I just tested a video a few seconds ago and got a recording no problem.
May I have the URL of the video(s) you're having trouble recording please?

I tried anything and they all had same thing. it's all https and (I don't see anything not https if it matters) the video plays but rmc 5.136 (whatever the latest is) doesn't catch anything..
For example, search in youtube for Ultra 2014 Miami and try to play anything. any tech android stuff doesn't play. I even tried to install it on another pc to see if maybe something changed, but the same problem. Im using WINP Cap not the network monitor just so you know.
Thanks for your response - if you don't mind, so we can get more assistance for you Please use the technical support section of the website to submit your tech support ticket and include your record log file:

sorry Jeff, this isn't an option of course.
I agree with others on the forum - who experience problems recording youtube videos - that we customers should be provided with software that works right.
I've just upgraded the suite, and I haven't been able to record videos since. Not interested in using RVC.
Since May 2013, RMC has been dysfunctioning. It's time to get things right or just ditch it altogether.
I admit, All nice people at the zendesk but we need solutions now, and fast.
I didn't have time to do the ticket yet but I tried to play the same video you had on the screen "the creep" and I didn't record. I tried everything I knew and it didn't work. RMC5 works because when I go to a local news web page or something like that I works fine. But I don't understand how you are able to play anything in Youtube because it doesn't work for me or the message right above mine.

Within the last couple of weeks I too stopped being able to record YouTube videos. I am using version 5.0.1.36. I followed the Troubleshooting script and of course the issue was the https connection. The key to being able to record again, and that I don't think was mentioned on this thread was that I needed to LOG OUT of YouTube. After I did that, the YouTube connection was an http connection and I could record again. Of course, when I signed back into YouTube, the connection again became https and my ability to record ended.
The quick solution to recording YouTube is to not be logged in to it. It would be nice if RMC could solve the https connection issue so that one can easily navigate YouTube subscriptions, etc. But, the issue is at least not a showstopper.
Seems like many others are experiencing the same problem with YouTube and HTTPS issue.
The latest upgrade (RMC 5.01.54 doesn't work at all) -
I appreciate Jeff's suggestion to contact Tech Support. For me, it's been 2 weeks since I initially contacted them with no solution yet. They suggested the SAME ones posted online which didn't work in the first place! It now appears that Tech Support has stopped responding altogether. SIGH!!!!
If I sound cranky it's because patience has grown thin.
Each time there's no solution we're told to use CAPTURE ..... I prefer not to use CAPTURE which is why I got the complete Suite in the first place.
Is Applian working a solution for a RMC5/YouTube patch? ... Or Is it all but dead now?
Has anyone else out there been able to find a solution?
I use Firefox
Thanks
