Default Converting a TS video file

I tried converting to avi (h.264) but the iPad could not play it.
Then tried iPod high quality, but did not like the final result.
I am now trying the Mpeg-4.

Any others that may have better result?

(PS: I have a Hauppauge Broadway, saved in HD, but the end result/conversion looks very SD)

I've just finished converting 35 year old band tapes to DVD. Bought this program thinking it would download them to my computer. For some reason, the DVDs are in TS format. If this program won't do it, is there something else I can use? Any help, PLEASE!

    Hi J.

You should be able to rip the DVD's to your pc...have you tried yet, you weren't clear on that in your question.

Replay Converter can create playable video files from DVD's. For example, you could take a video from a DVD and watch it on your iPod or iPhone. (See the legal note below.)

Here's how to rip files from a DVD:

Open Replay Converter, and click Add DVD. The Pick DVD Folder dialog appears:

Pick the drive and subfolder where the DVD files are located. Often you will see a folder labeled VIDEO_TS in the DVD drive. Click OK once the proper folder is selected.
The "VOB" files on the DVD appear in Replay Converter like this:

Click Convert to Video File, and pick an output option next to Choose a Target Format.
Click the GO button to start ripping the DVD.
