Record from Directv DVR

I have recordings on my Direct TV DVR which I would like to save on my PC. DirectTV has a PC program (Direct2PC) with which I can play recordings from DVR to my PC, however I have not been able to get RP Video Capture 6 to record them to my PC. I can record the audio but the screen is black. I can record the the command bar at the bottom of the Direct2PC screen, but the rest of the screen is black.
RP support has been no help.

Have any of you tried or been successful with this.
I would welcome any ideas...

Please see if it makes a difference to use the Basic instead of the enhanced mode. This does work for some people.
