Which program to record streamed BBC sport?

I'm confused (easily done with video applications I admit) as to which video recorder to use for recording streaming live tennis from Wimbledon from the BBC website.

I don't know, for starters, what the difference is between using Video Capture 6 and Media Catcher 5.

I have used VC6 and more or less know my way around it, but MC5 I cannot make head or tail of the jargon used.

I recorded a tennis match using VC6 but the result was a little disappointing: the video didn't jump or jerk, but it wasn't as smooth as the original on my screen.

Can anyone please recommend which of the two (Video Capture 6 or Media Catcher 5) would give the best results?
