I have used Video Padlock today; when I finished I clicked the 'X' top left and file closed as usual; Trying to re-open V.P. again now I get a message 'VP had detected a version of VP already running...' and won't open ! What do I do now ?

I have used Video Padlock today; when I finished I clicked the 'X' top left and file closed as usual; Trying to re-open V.P. again now I get a message 'VP had detected a version of VP already running...' and won't open ! What do I do now ?
After I posted my question I opened Task manager and NOTHING was running
; I again checked VP and still got the same message so I switched off my computer and re-booted; allwas well so no problem now.
However is this a possible glitch the the technical boys need to look at in case it occurs with another customer?
Same problem again ! and I haven't even opened V.P. today.
Same message - '...version of V.P. already running..'
There has got to be a better way of solving this problem than re-booting my computer every time.
Please advise.
