Skipping Silence in Recording?

When I try to record this one song, there is a part in the song were there are several very short gaps of silence. When I go to record, it records and I hear these gaps but when I play it back they have been removed and it sounds really choppy. How can I set it to record dead silence?

Try recording the song using audio capture instead of stream capture. Also, try and adjust the timing under AV-File-Settings-tuning.
