When I am trying to record a stream from a site that requires a password and user name log in (i have this), how can I configure AV 8 to record the show I want to record?

You might not be able to. A lot is going to depend on the link and how they work. As an example a radio station will often allow the password info to show in the link itself. If you are not able to you would want to try either Replay Media Catcher or Replay Video Capture to see if they will work better for you.
I will play around with it some more. If I am unable to get that to work, I will go ahead and try the video / audio capture as I watch it.
