Hello,
I bought RMC4 specifically to capture a live flash stream but it doesn't seem to pick it up. Capturing from You Tube works so could anyone tell me where I am going wrong please?

The url is:

Thanks,
Mac.

Hi Mac

Unfortunately, Regarding your issue - 99% of the time - live webcasts do NOT have a set URL as regular online videos do, so RMC, or your standard "Stream Ripper" programs would not be able to capture them.

In this instance, we recommend Replay Video Capture (http://applian.com/repla-video-capture/ ), which is a screen capture program. Let me explain the difference between the two:

The way Replay Media Catcher works is it does not record what is actually playing on your screen, in fact if you want to think of it this way, it does not \"Record\" at all. What it is really doing is capturing URL\'s from these streams and then downloading the video using the URL.

Now, granted, there is not ONE program out there that can record everything. This is the same with RMC as well, so we created Replay Video Capture which works pretty much oppositely of RMC. It records what's on your screen, online...offline, whatever you choose to record. If you have NOT yet tried out/purchased Replay Video Capture, I suggest you check it out here: http://applian.com/repla-video-capture/

If you've purchased Replay Media Catcher as a stand-alone product, you can upgrade to the Applian suite which includes Replay Video Capture and a few other quality programs for only $39.95 I believe. You can do that here if you wish: http://applian.com/upgrade.php

Together, using these two programs together you can record pretty much anything on your computer, or just actions from your computer desktop (such as dvd movies in windows media player, etc).

I hope this helps. :-)

Jeff,

Thanks for the reply. I did use screen capture software to record some of what I wanted, however it was without sound. Will RVC record both sound and video?

Regards,
Mac.
