Does Replay A/V 8 have to "phone home" to record more than 90 seconds?
It worked fine this morning then, when it kicked in at 3:00 pm for my afternoon show, it would only record 90 seconds at a time.
I tried on a 2nd PC with same result.
As soon the the applian.com web site came back on line, everything was back to normal.

What's up with that?

I also noticed the site was down, when i tried using the media guide.

When it came back up later, the RAV podcatcher started working correctly again (better than ever before) after being superslow and balky since August.

If you are using one of our links and something happens to our server this could happen. It won't if you are using your own link. It should be working. Let us know if you do continue to have a problem.

I thought ReplayAV 'phoned home' to ensure the license was valid when you convert though? In the past, if you kept the original capture it would be the full length and it was only the converted files that would be shortened. Even though it was rare, it was due to this I turned off the feature to remove the original file after conversion.

Lucky you, I can't record anything anymore.

If you are having an issue recording please do contact tech support with details and a log file. It is not going to do audio capture in most cases, however, due to flash-but stream capture does work.

My Windows user account got corrupted in Windows 7 so I had to recreate it. Since then the automatic conversion stops after 90 seconds in Replay AV. I downloaded the latest version, re-installed Replay AV and Replay converter and rebooted. Still the same problem. What do I do to correct this?

HI

Please verify that your license is for the latest version. If it isn't you will need to install the version you own as we stopped selling the program over a year ago. Thanks.

Hi Cheryl,

The license key is correct and has been accepted by both Replay AV and Replay Converter.

Replay AV will record the program successfully but will only convert up to 90 minutes. I stopped asking Replay AV to convert automatically. The recorded file is then entered into Replay Converter which also works successfully. The 2 do not seem to be working together anymore.

What version of the converter are you using?

The version for Replay Converter is 4.10. (03-23-2011).

Even though I downloaded what I thought was the latest version, I thought I would check again.

I uninstalled Replay Convertor via the Control Panel. I downloaded Replay Convertor and this version says it is 4.40. I do find this odd as I have downloaded the latest version the other day; the only difference is that this time I got windows to do the uninstall. I tried it again in Replay AV and the automatic version only converts 90 minutes - so no change.
