Does RVC record video from on-screen activity?

I'm trying to find a product that will record on-screen activity. Will RVC do it? Or will some other Applian product do it? I've googled and seen other products on the web but I already have and am satisfied with a couple of other Applian packages and prefer to stay with an Applian product.

My intent is to record how-to clips on various blog site tasks instead of explaining/detail tedious and confusing written steps. My blog users would simply play the video and "see what I do" at the desktop to, say, post a blog entry and attach a photo gallery to it.

Any help is appreciated!
