The program works really nice, except that theres no option to turn off the cursor in the recordings.
I tried recording some games and as said, everything worked fine except for the ugly jumping cursor in the video, I also tried making the cursor invisible in windows which worked for windows, but in the recording it was still there.
So I guess its Replay Video Capture which adds the cursor, which is sad because there is no option to prevent this :(

The program is a screen capture program. If there is a cursor on the screen it is going to show. Sorry.

Well as I said, the cursor was not visible for me it only showed up on the recording and I replaced the standard cursor in the windows settings with a clear file, so that there was no cursor at all, but it still showed up, which is strange because windows had no cursor which looked like that at that time.

(edit: and I am using Windows 7, if that is important)

See what happens when you move the cursor all the way to the right. Also, are you able to record with a smaller screen. Set the window markers so the cursor is not showing.

That's working for Crysis 2 but in COD black ops the cursor is centered all the time.
A smaller capture-window + game-window didn't change that.
Cursors are still only visible in the recorded file and not live when I record.

I hope there's is a solution to this, because other than the cursor problem it works really well for recording games.

I've done some experimentation and would like to clarify what the two posters before me are talking about. Basically, the cursor isn't supposed to be visible on the screen, and it's not - but for some reason, it shows up in the recording files.

Details:

The mouse cursor icon appears to function normally, but it goes to a default cursor icon in the actual recordings themselves. It looks like the Windows XP default theme cursor. It doesn't obey desktop themes and it doesn't change based on where you hover the pointer (ex. the cursor changes to something like an "I" while mousing over a chat box, but in the recording it stays the ugly default cursor the entire time regardless of position). Some games hide the cursor while playing the game or give it some cool custom icon, and it looks fine while you're playing the gameplay, but for some reason the default icon always shows up in the recordings in place of where the custom icon was (or located where the pointer was).

I've gone so far as to hand-edit all of the .cur files on my computer that looked like this one to see if I can adjust or hide this ugly cursor, but it doesn't appear to be coming from a system .cur file or a Windows theme. I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty, but I honestly can't figure out where this ugly cursor icon is located or how to turn it off. It'd make more sense if RVC just tracked the system cursor with the screen instead of overriding it with the ugly cursor all of the time.

Yeah, thats exactly what I've been observing Brisborne. It has to be Replay Video Capture itself which is adding the cursor, so it should be super easy to add a checkbox to stop that behavior. (I hope ^^)

Nevermind, tried the new Version 5.1 and the "ghost" mouse cursor is gone :D

(only thing now is that you can only record windowed games, but that's ok)

edit: I wanted to rename the thread with "Solved!" at the end, but I can't seem to find the thread-edit button.
