The latest version seems to be very promising...however, according to the update... it states that it "...now supports You-Tube playlists many..." So I got the latest version (4.2.1)...
the question is; how exactly does supporting playlists come in handy. And btw...in
RTMPE stream (using an external plugin) the software always state that there are no playlists available...and yes...I believe the playlists are actually there. here's an example of a playlist Playlists on Youtube (http://www.youtube.com/show?p=UMu1inydRWc&tracker=show_av) and none of them work.

Havent had time to play with the you tube playlist just yet. I have been very happy just using the new auth token for justin.tv recordings to stream the nearly live feeds to my Roku box Freaking awesome :D
But I would imagine that you could add all the videos to your playlist and then set them up to download like a queue? let me know what you find I may be able to play around with it this weekend.

I have overlooked this feature! Thanks for bringing it to the spotlight!
I really like to download multiple videos from the playlist

RTMPE playlists are different from youtube users playlists.

Hit the Playlists

Hit the "More info" link below the playlist name

The URL in the address bar should look like
http://www.youtube.com/USERNAME#p/c/PLAYLIST_ID
http://img687.imageshack.us/img687/1919/youtubeplaylistsmoreinf.png
Copy the playlist ID from the address bar.

Important note: afaik, playlist downloader only supports public playlists..
Meaning: when I add a few you tube video's to a playlist myself (so they will be downloaded in 1 go) and copy paste the url and then click on extract, it'll get back with "Not a valid playlist". Bad luck, am unable to use the playlist option.

On youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkdlmBU4gzU it is shown how to download a video-playlist using RMC.
I tried it out.
It downloads the first video, but it stops there, although I clicked on 'play all', or tagged all+play all.
Is there anybody out there who got it working?
Sofar I have not found a decent playlist downloader, tried a number of them, all highly recommended, bla bla.
