Using the Join manager, one can load up multiple segments of a SINGLE movie and join them into a single move. However, I'd like to load up segments from movies/TV shows, and after ordering them correctly, have the Join manager merge them into multiple movies base on the file names.

For example: If I have 2 My Three Sons episodes, 3 segments for each show, and themy are named something like "Chips_Big_day_pt1.avi", "Chip_Big_Day_pt2.avi" and Chips_Big_Day_pt3.avi", and maybe "Bubs_gone_p1.avi", etc. Replay Media Splitter should be able to join these segments and create 2 shows, with a similar name for each without user intervention.

Is this possible? I can create one large file which has both shows, but then I need to split this into 2 separate avi files which requires more user intervention.

The program will join files as long as they are the same bitrate, the same format, and the same dimensions. Give that a try and see. It will need to do each set as a separate file. It will not create two shows with a similar name like you wish.

Sorry Cheryl - I'm not sure what you are saying to "try and see"? Could you be a bit clearer. Perhaps what I'm asking to do is not possible with the current version, but I think it would be a useful enhancement for a future release. I'm certain I'm not the first user that would like to join a list of movie/show segments. Perhaps there could be a way to insert a "dummy" title, some sort of separator which would tell the Joiner that it should do the first group, then the next group, etc. and create unique files names from each group.

The developer does read all of these and your suggestions are passed on. thanks.
