How can FIX FLV Tool be used to make an FLV file seekable

version 4 has a tool named "Fix FLV" accessible from the right-click context menu for any downloaded FLV file. The user guide has no documentation about this tool. Occasionally a file turns out to be unseekable. How can this tool be used to make an FLV file seekable?

I found the FAQ on the Applian main site about opening Fix FLV (http://www.applian.com/faq-pro/index.php?action=article&cat_id=003&id=86&lang=), selecting the file, clicking on "File Contents" bar (they left out that step!), leaving the default at "15" (no idea what that value is supposed to indicate) and press the Fix Time button:

After a live stream is recorded, the Fix FLV tool will run automatically in order to add the duration metadata in (if its missing). This allows the file to be seeked. If the FLV file plays back at the wrong speed or out of sync, you need to fix the timestamps manually. Here's how:

Click Tools -> Fix FLV and select the file to be fixed.
Or, if the file is still in Replay Media Catcher's main list, right-click on it and select Fix FLV.
Expand the File Contents section

Set timestamp to 15 and click Fix Time.

If the resulting file is still fast or slow then the time stamp can be adjusted further. But, 15 usually does the trick. Be sure to click the Fix Time button, or your changes will not be applied.




No matter what I set the value to, the same error message appears when the progress bar is almost completely done (preseumably at or near the end of the file):

Unexpected Error
Value of '103' is not valid for 'Value'.
'Value' should be between 'minimum' and 'maximum'.
Parameter name: Value

The only choice is to press OK.
The progress bar resets, and quickly runs through to the end, disappears, and nothing further happens.

The file remains unseekable in any FLV player, and crashes players like Winamp, BSPlayer, KMPlayer.

The value (15) indicated the number of frames per second (fps).
