Splitting function

Further to a previous post (tried to delete but couldn't)
When I enable splitting (eg every 5 min) it seems to simply log off and not reconnect/resume.
The simple task is to download an archive and burn it to CD to listen to retrospectively.
But since the file size is always too large- it needs to be split.
I realise there are various 3 rd party options to split .mp3's etc.
Any other solutions from within AV8?

Not for an archive. We do have Replay Media Splitter that does an excellent job of spliting a file after it has been recorded.
